Our regular Men’s gathering is a time of fellowship and leadership open to all men of any age! We gather and work to promote Jesus Christ in our church and community by actively participating in the life of the church and in the lives of people. Our men’s group gathers on the fourth Tuesday of each month (except for July and August), usually at 6:30 pm. We normally gather in the Fellowship Hall of the church for a meal followed by a time of looking at the ways we have opportunities to serve God’s kingdom in our communities and closing with a time of devotion and sharing prayer needs. One of our regular meetings a year is a time when we gather with our wives, families, and the widows of the church; ensuring we are not only leaders within the church but are also leaders within our families. For this meeting, usually in June, we normally gather at 6:00 pm at a local restaurant, so our families don’t have to stress over a meal (or the clean-up!) and enjoy good food and fellowship together.
Our men are active in supporting many ministries both within the church and outside of the church. This includes sending children to summer camp, support through donations to the Carteret County Domestic Violence Program, missionary projects, Toys for Tots, and Christmas families. We also work to ensure our church and communities are prepared in storms and actively seeking ways to help in times of crisis and calamity. These and the many other activities our Methodist Men are involved in help build friendships within our group that encourage, uplift, and help each of us live better lives. If you think you have the energy and desire to join our fellowship, we would love to welcome you!
